Paver patios, bluestone, brick, stone, or block—it’s your choice. DLM Landscape works with well-stocked suppliers to offer you a brilliant choice of colors, textures, and sizes.

This is How DLM Landscape Builds Your New Stone or Paver Patio From the Ground Up

The foundation of patio construction is to not skimp on the patio’s foundation! This prevents the possibility of ground settling, causing cracks or uneven patio surfaces. After agreeing with you on a design, size, and patio materials, DLM will remove any existing structure, dig underground until reaching hard ground. After leveling the grade, we place weed-blocking fabric down, a 4-inch layer of crushed rock. On top of that, we install a gravel layer, followed by a half-inch thick covering of sand, which will allow for leveling of the pavers above. Once the pavers or stones are laid, we brush in polysand to fill in spaces to prevent weed growth and water seepage.

To ensure proper drainage, the patio must be declined away from the house about one-half inch for every 10 feet. In cases where the patio is elevated, stone retaining walls can finish off the look.
